The construction of yachts has always been associated with the design and manufacture of large moulds such as hulls and decks. Knierim Yachtbau has acquired outstanding expertise in this field through decades of experience.

When building individual yachts in small series, reducing mold costs and shortening the construction time is a key factor. By using state-of-the-art 5-axis milling machines, molds as well as keels, keel bulbs and rudder blades can be milled with tenths of a millimeter precision, ensuring maximum precision on the one hand and reducing the time and effort required for grinding and filling on the other. Bulkheads and other built-in parts are also cut or milled into shape by machine, which means that fitting now takes less time.

This expertise is also used in the manufacture of large industrial parts for wind turbines, aircraft, ships and submarines. From the initial design to the finished component, we cover the entire production process with cooperation partners from renowned engineering companies. Depending on customer requirements, we create the design, laminate calculation and layout of the components in collaboration with our partners.

Our location directly on the Kiel Canal in northern Germany makes it easy to ship large parts all over the world.
